Ascenz Marorka has been selected by Antarctica21 to supply its digital performance monitoring platform for the new cruise vessel Magellan Discoverer, scheduled for delivery in 2026.
The agreement follows a previous collaboration between the companies on Magellan Explorer, delivered in 2022, which was equipped with a range of onboard measurement systems and connected to Ascenz Marorka’s cloud platform to support real-time operational data analysis during the Antarctic cruise season.
Alongside its digital tools, Ascenz Marorka also provided managed performance services to support analysis of onboard systems and operational performance. Antarctica21 will implement a similar combination of onboard systems, online dashboards, and support services on Magellan Discoverer.
“Our ships are more than vessels. They are our way of connecting travellers with one of the most extraordinary places on Earth. With Magellan Discoverer, we are raising the bar once again,” said Verónica Peragallo, CEO of Antarctica21.
“We’ve seen the impact Ascenz Marorka’s technology has had on Magellan Explorer, achieving smarter operations, better insights, and a meaningful reduction in our environmental footprint. That’s the kind of performance we expect and demand.”
“As we prepare to launch our next ship, we’re proud to continue this partnership and to keep leading the way in responsible Antarctic exploration.”
