People’s Daily Online, Dubai, August 7 (Reporters Guan Kejiang, Ren Haoyu) On August 7 local time, more than ten Chinese logistics companies in the UAE held a seminar at COSCO SHIPPING Ports Abu Dhabi Terminal to discuss cooperation and promote exchanges between China and the UAE.
Ju Wei, General Manager of COSCO SHIPPING West Asia, stated that the UAE is a trade and logistics hub in the Middle East. Last year, bilateral trade between China and the UAE exceeded $100 billion for the first time, a 7.2% increase from the previous year. Chinese logistics companies in the UAE will establish a logistics branch under the UAE Chinese Business Council to contribute logistics strength to deepening practical cooperation between China and the UAE and ensure smooth logistics operations.
Representatives from more than ten companies, including Sinotrans Overseas Middle East & Africa Region, COSCO SHIPPING Ports Abu Dhabi Terminal, and Air China Dubai Office, attended and spoke at the event. They emphasized that strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the logistics industry will help better safeguard the interests of Chinese enterprises abroad and inject momentum into the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
