SUDILES – BETICO, the main passenger ferry operator in New Caledonia, has partnered with Paris-based Moment to launch a new digital entertainment platform onboard its vessel BETICO 2. The service went live this month and is available to all passengers traveling between Nouméa, the Isle of Pines and the Loyalty Islands.
The ferry, which carries up to 355 passengers per trip and serves around 85,000 people each year, has been a key transport link for residents and tourists for more than 15 years. The company said the digital upgrade is part of its ongoing effort to improve the overall travel experience.
The platform can be accessed from personal devices through the ship’s Wi-Fi network and is designed to work even without an internet connection. It features a fully branded interface aligned with SUDILES – BETICO’s identity and includes about 100 movies, television series, podcasts and games available in French and English.

Beyond entertainment, passengers can also use the service to access ferry news, onboard menus, shopping options and special offers. Features such as ratings, surveys and advertising space are included to support both feedback and commercial opportunities.
