The Minister of Hydrocarbons and Energies (MHE) of Bolivia, Alejandro Gallardo, reported that they hope for the operational windows to unload 96 million liters of diesel at the Sica Sica Terminal, operated by Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) in Arica, Chile.

“We have two vessels scheduled to arrive on October 20 and 23. We hope that the windows will be operational and from there we will begin to normalize what would be 100% delivery in terms of diesel,” explained the Bolivian authority. Each vessel will arrive with 48 million liters of diesel.

It should be recalled that on Wednesday the 15th, it was expected to be able to unload 50 million liters of fuel, but the maritime station managed by YPFB has remained inoperative since Sunday the 12th by order of the Chilean Navy, due to unfavorable weather conditions for the connection with the submarine pipeline.

To date, the international-flagged tankers Symphony (Gambia) and Beast (Sierra Leone) are waiting in the bay of Arica, in addition to the vessel Arica registered in Chile.
