Brasil: Autoridad Portuaria de Santos abre proceso de licitación para contratación de servicios de radiocomunicación

The Santos Port Authority (APS), a Brazilian state-owned company responsible for the public infrastructure of the Port of Santos, published a tender notice for the contracting of radiocommunication system services, which are used by the company’s professionals in critical operational activities within the maritime precinct.

The objective of this agreement is to ensure the continuity, modernization and maintenance of the radiocommunication system currently in operation, and includes the supply of equipment and services necessary to serve the areas under APS’s responsibility.

The scope of this system includes the operational areas located in the municipalities of Santos and Guarujá, as well as the Itatinga Hydroelectric Plant, located in the municipality of Bertioga, and the entire length of the corresponding transmission line, which interconnects the municipalities of Bertioga, Guarujá and Santos.

The radiocommunication terminals are used in critical activities, such as the berthing and unberthing of vessels, the coordination of vessels responsible for crossings between the port’s banks, surveillance and control carried out by the Port Guard, inspection of operations, as well as communication between maneuvering stations and the teams responsible for the operation and maintenance of high-voltage transmission lines, among other essential activities.
