La Companhia Docas do Rio Grande do Norte (Codern) appointed the new administrative and financial director, Hugo Alexandre Menezes Fonseca. The designation was approved during the Extraordinary Assembly of the Board of Directors (Consad).
Hugo Fonseca holds a degree in Biological Sciences, an MBI in Expertise, Audit and Management, a master’s degree in Science, Technology and Innovation from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) and professional training in Brazil-China International Trade from the Shanghai Center for Commercial Training and Education and the Ministry of Commerce of China. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Oil and Gas at UFRN.
With experience in public administration and economic development, Hugo has been part of the Secretariat of Economic Development of Rio Grande do Norte (/RN) since 2016, where he served as secretary, deputy secretary and coordinator of Energy Development.
Between 2024 and 2026, he was also vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Water and Sewage Company of Rio Grande do Norte (Caern) and of the Advisory Board of the Energy Research Company (EPE).
