Members of the PortosRio Harbor Guard participated in the Special Course for Crewmembers of State Vessels in Public Service (ETSP), held at the Port Authority Office of Cabo Frio (DelCFrio).

The training, offered by the Brazilian Navy, is aimed at officials and employees of public bodies who act as crewmembers or operators of vessels in the exclusive service of these institutions.

The 36-hour course included theoretical and practical evaluations. The participants, approved by the Maritime Authority, are qualified to crew or operate small vessels up to eight meters in length, such as LAEP-7 speedboats with inboard engines for inland navigation, as well as watercraft used by the Port Authority.

The certificate and driver’s license award ceremony was conducted by the Interim Ports Delegate, Lieutenant Queiroz, at the Port Authority Office in Cabo Frio.

“The training offered by the Brazilian Navy will enable more effective inspection actions, ensuring respect for the environment and the fluidity and safety of port operations,” highlighted the superintendent of the PortosRio Harbor Guard, Jorge Dantas.
