On the next 23 October, the BREAK BULK ITALY Business Meeting returns to Venice and this time, the event organized by SHIPPING ITALY, SUPPLY CHAIN ITALY and AIR CARGO ITALY in collaboration with the Northern Adriatic Sea Port Authority, will be hosted at the Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista. A prestigious conference venue located in the heart of the Serenissima and a short distance from the Santa Lucia railway station and Piazzale Roma.

The port system of Veneto and more generally the project cargo sector has recently begun to warm up its engines by participating in Rotterdam at the Breakbulk Europe 2026 fair, the most important European trade fair dedicated to the logistics of general cargo and exceptional transport.

Given the strategic relevance of the sector for the lagoon ports of Venice and Chioggia, the mission coordinated by the AdSP of the Northern Adriatic Sea was led by the Secretary General Roberto Mantovanelli and saw the participation of about thirty operators including shipping agents, freight forwarders, logistics operators and terminal operators, as well as the authority’s technicians.

“The presence of the Port System of Veneto at Breakbulk Europe in this specific edition is of fundamental importance, to underline how in the complex international geopolitical context, Venice and Chioggia continue – and must continue – to represent a point of reference for breakbulk and project cargo logistics, whose Italian excellence is partly based right in Porto Marghera. For this reason, we have engaged with all the players in the supply chain to identify further margins for improvement in our offer and guarantee ever higher logistics-port performance, in support of the engineering and industry of Veneto and the Northeast. In summary: we look with confidence to the upcoming signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the United States of America, hoping that it can help resolve the situation in the Strait of Hormuz but, at the same time, we work assiduously with operators, economic entities and international institutions to provide concrete answers in the immediate future” were the words of Roberto Mantovanelli.

The BREAK BULK ITALY Business Meeting on the next 23 October will as usual ensure moments of in-depth analysis and networking among shippers, freight forwarders, maritime and land carriers, brokers and shipping agents, port terminals, EPC contractors, cargo owners, service providers and suppliers active in the national and international market of non-unitized cargo.

Among the speakers and in the audience, the most important names in shipping, port terminal operations, freight forwarding companies, shipping lines and companies that regularly ship or receive plants, machinery and semi-finished products via exceptional transport by weight and dimensions are expected.
