Recently, Brunvoll signed a contract with the Norwegian shipbuilding group VARD to provide a complete propulsion and maneuvering system for two Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOV). These two vessels belong to an undisclosed international shipowner.

Each vessel will be equipped from stern to bow with the following equipment: two azimuth thrusters, one retractable azimuth thruster, one tunnel thruster, and one retractable combined azimuth and tunnel thruster. The delivery scope also includes Brunvoll’s propulsion and thruster control system, BruCon PTC.

The azimuth thrusters are equipped with Brunvoll’s latest energy-saving innovation – the DL1 nozzle (“Dragless”). While traditional nozzles experience reduced efficiency at sailing speeds, the DL1 nozzle maintains excellent hydrodynamic performance across a wider operating range.

These two vessels are based on the VARD 4 19 design, with a length of 87.5 meters, a beam of 19.5 meters, accommodation for 120 personnel, and are equipped with all necessary equipment for a CSOV.
