Prime Minister Mark Carney and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum have announced a new Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to elevate bilateral ties across trade, infrastructure, energy, climate, and security. The agreement will drive joint work on long-term projects such as ports, rail, and energy corridors, while also creating a new security dialogue to combat organized crime and trafficking. Canada committed $9.9 million to UN-led initiatives supporting migrant integration and fentanyl prevention, and confirmed a trade mission to Mexico led by Minister Dominic LeBlanc.
