The international transport and logistics provider, cargo-partner, has launched new intermodal rail transport solutions linking Europe to China and other countries in Asia.

cargo-partner has witnessed a surge in demand for its reliable intermodal rail transport services. The company has thus expanded its offerings to include seamless connections to and from several Asian countries, such as Thailand and Taiwan.

In Feb 2024, cargo-partner shipped an FCL from Thailand to Slovakia for a European electrical manufacturer. The shipment travelled by truck to Chongqing, China in six days, then by rail to Małaszewicze, Poland, and finally cargo-partner in Slovakia handled the final delivery.

Felix Miletich, Director of Corporate Product Management Rail Transport at cargo-partner, said: “Our competent Rail Transport team in China is well-prepared to handle the increasing demand for these efficient services, so we can offer our clients a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective intermodal overland transport solution.”

In November 2023, cargo-partner executed another successful intermodal transport, underscoring its prowess in managing complex routes. The cargo, a compressor on a pallet weighing 915.2 kilogrammes, began its journey by LTL road transport in Bangkok, Thailand, passing through Laos and Vietnam before reaching the Pingxiang border to China.

The consolidated container was then transported by rail from Chongqing to Małaszewicze, Poland. The total transit time from door to terminal was just 30 days.

In November last year, cargo-partner announced the launch of a new branch office near London Heathrow Airport, thereby expanding its footprint in the UK.

More recently, the company announced the launch of its new cross-border road transport solutions between the US, Canada and Mexico.
