The president of the port of Vigo, Carlos Botana, as well as other prominent figures such as the commercial head of the Port Authority of Vigo, have visited the facilities of the Vigo-based shipyard Cardama Shipyards, where the structure that will house the lighthouse and underwater observatory culminating the famous Peiraos do Solpor is being built, a flagship project designed and executed by the port of Vigo. If everything progresses as it has so far, the launch of the facilities could take place by the end of September.

The underwater observatory, which features five large submerged windows, as well as an elevator and stairs, and will reach a height of 15 meters, will be towed to Bouzas afloat, once the watertight and pressure tests are completed, just as the NAUTILUS, built by the same shipyard, was transported. Additionally, studies have been conducted on wave resistance and marine conditions that may occur at the final location, both currently and in the future. Meanwhile, on the breakwater surrounding the Bouzas car terminal, the piling works that will support the underwater viewer and the walkways continue at a steady pace.
