The container ship Huizhong 8 recently docked at berth no. 1 of the container terminal of Dongying Port, belonging to the Bohaiwan Port Group, which marked the official launch of a container service between Dongying and Yantai Port.
The Dongying-Yantai container service is a joint launch by Bohaiwan Port, Cosco Shipping Lines, and Shandong Marine Corporation. With a travel time of 14 hours, cargo from the interior can be shipped directly from Dongying Port to Yantai Port and then transit to domestic and international coastal ports in Japan and South Korea via Yantai.
According to internal port sources, Dongying’s Container Berth No. 1 is surrounded by petrochemical industries, with a growing logistics demand for the import of raw materials and the export of finished products.
In line with the development plans of the Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone, the Bohaiwan Port Group has launched this new service to build an integrated container service platform, promote the comprehensive development of the port city, and build a maritime bridge for industrial modernization and regional economic growth.
In the future, Bohaiwan will continue to closely monitor the logistics needs of companies in the interior, increasing the frequency of departures to achieve weekly operations.
