China Classification Society (CCS) Visited Pacific International Lines (PIL) and SDTR Marine Pte Ltd and signed a Momorandum of Cooperation

On April 15, 2024, CCS President Sun Feng and his delegation visited Zhang Songsheng, Executive Chairman of Pacific International Lines (PIL) in Singapore. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on hot topics in the shipping industry such as greenhouse gas emissions reduction, sustainable fuel supply for ships, etc.

During this period, CCS signed a memorandum of cooperation on container business with SINGAMAS, a subsidiary of PIL.

Zhang Songsheng extended a warm welcome to the visit of Sun Feng and his delegation, and both sides reviewed the good cooperation situations over the years. In the future, the two sides will continue to conduct in-depth discussions and cooperation on the application of new fuel for ships, green intelligent technology, carbon reduction and emission reduction plans, etc. under the new situation of low-carbon development in the shipping industry.

Under the joint witness of Sun Feng and Zhang Songsheng, Gan Shaowei, the Director of CCS Wuhan Rules & Research Institute, and Wu Zhonghan, the General Manager of PIL, signed a memorandum of cooperation on ship decarbonization business.

During Sun Feng’s visit to SDTR Marine Pte Ltd in Singapore, Chen Zili, General Manager of CCS Singapore Branch, and Gao Dehui, CEO of SDTR Marine Pte Ltd, signed a memorandum of cooperation on greenhouse gas emissions reduction in the shipping industry.

According to the cooperation agreement, both parties will conduct comprehensive cooperation in such fields as compliance with IMO greenhouse gas emission reduction rules, application of alternative fuels for ships, shipborne carbon capture and storage, green fuel supply chain for ships, etc.
