The container ship MSC Tampa docked at the Port of Qingdao, operated by Shandong Port Group (SPG), marking the official launch of Osprey, a new weekly service connecting Asia with Southeast India.

This service uses the port of Qingdao as a fixed port of call, enabling greater connectivity with South Asia and creating a more stable logistics corridor for import and export companies.

The service route includes key ports such as Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Tanjung Pelepas, Ennore, Mundra, Karachi, and Colombo, thus creating a fast maritime logistics corridor connecting China with major South Asian ports. The inaugural vessel MSC Tampa called at Hong Kong and will sail to Ningbo after completing handling operations at the Port of Qingdao.

With this addition, the Port of Qingdao will further improve the punctuality and service capacity of its routes to India and Pakistan.

The launch of the new route marks another milestone in the Port of Qingdao’s ongoing efforts to enhance its international route network and optimize regional maritime corridors.
