On November 26, the No. 5 8500DWT general cargo ship, built by CSSC Guangxi Company, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), for the Italian shipowner MANISA, was successfully launched. This marks a significant milestone in the ship’s construction, as the project now fully transitions to the phases of quayside outfitting, debugging, and interior outfitting.
Since the commencement of the ship’s construction, the project team has consistently adhered to the building philosophy of “continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence.” They vigorously implemented the construction strategy of “shifting processes forward,” strengthened production scheduling management, and steadily advanced various construction milestones, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of subsequent work.
Promoting Process Forwarding to Improve Construction Efficiency:
* **Essential Completion of Pipeline Installation:** By the time of launching, the installation of pipelines in the ship’s engine room and superstructure was essentially completed, and the overall layout of the pipeline system was clearly defined.
* **Accelerated Progress in Painting Work:** By the time of launching, the interior of the living quarters (superstructure) had proceeded to the stages of grinding and painting, and the preliminary environment for interior outfitting had taken shape.
* **Essential Completion of Cable Laying:** By the time of launching, the cable laying throughout the entire ship was essentially finished, meaning the ship’s “nervous system” was initially connected.
