Beijing, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) — According to data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing on the 28th, the total social logistics value from January to October reached 29.37 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%.

Analysis indicates that from January to October, the overall operation of national logistics showed a steady and progressive development trend, with the scale of logistics demand maintaining stable growth and structural adjustment and optimization features becoming increasingly prominent. Affected by factors such as holidays, the growth rate fluctuated in October, but the growth rate of total social logistics for the year still remained around 5%. Structurally, industrial product logistics grew steadily, accounting for 88% of the total social logistics value, remaining the absolute mainstay of logistics demand. Among these, the core driving forces for growth in equipment manufacturing and high-end manufacturing sectors remained strong. In October, logistics demand related to automobile manufacturing increased by 16.8% year-on-year, showing relatively strong growth momentum.

Logistics for goods related to units and residents continued to grow rapidly. From January to October, the total logistics value for goods related to units and residents increased by 6.4% year-on-year. Structurally, online consumption logistics remained active, with new business formats such as instant retail and live-streaming e-commerce flourishing. In terms of categories, upgraded consumption logistics in the commercial trade sector grew relatively fast. During the same period, the results of industrial green transformation became apparent. On one hand, logistics demand in the new energy industry chain continued to grow at a high speed, becoming the core driver of green logistics demand. On the other hand, logistics demand for the recycling of renewable resources was released rapidly.

Analysis suggests that, overall, China’s logistics operation from January to October was steady and progressive, with prominent characteristics of structural optimization. In the fourth quarter, endogenous growth momentum continued to accumulate, and the foundation for a comprehensive recovery across multiple fields was continuously strengthened. Core growth drivers such as high-end manufacturing, emerging markets, and online consumption remained strong, continuously driving the upgrading of logistics supply. With precise policy implementation and gradual release of demand, signs of marginal improvement are gradually emerging. Overall, China’s logistics will present a high-quality development pattern characterized by “strong core leadership, continuous structural optimization, and continuously enhanced resilience.”
