On November 12, the 2025 China (Chongqing)-ASEAN Logistics Industry Cooperation Conference, jointly organized by the Municipal Government Port and Logistics Office, the Banan District Government, and the RCEP Industrial Cooperation Committee, was held in Chongqing. During the conference, focusing on economic and trade cooperation in the food and agricultural products sector, efforts were made to promote the implementation and transformation of the food and agricultural products industry, precisely connect domestic and foreign enterprises, resulting in a total of 21 cooperation agreements being reached.

These cooperation projects cover the entire supply chain links of ASEAN agricultural product planting, cross-border transportation, port distribution, processing and packaging, and marketing. They include the Chongqing Highway Logistics Base ASEAN Agricultural Products Distribution Center, Chongqing Fo’er Yan Port International Bulk Trade, the “Chongqing Vehicles Going Global” service cooperation of the Chongqing RCEP Investment and Trade Service Center, and the international industry-university-research collaboration between Chongqing Public Transport Vocational College and other institutions.

Banan, as the starting point of the Cross-Border Highway Freight Service of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor (ILSTC), is one of the important windows for Chongqing’s opening-up. Since its launch in 2016, the Cross-Border Highway Freight Service has accumulated approximately 35,000 dispatches, with a total cargo value of about 30 billion yuan. From January to October this year, the Cross-Border Highway Freight Service of the ILSTC dispatched over 11,000 vehicles, with a cargo value exceeding 15 billion yuan, representing year-on-year increases of 2 times and 4.5 times respectively, indicating a significant improvement in corridor efficiency.

The signed Chongqing Xinfadi ASEAN Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. is located in the Chongqing Highway Logistics Base and is currently building the ASEAN International Food Industry Park, which is expected to officially open next year. The company’s chairman, Zhang Yuelin, said that the park will be built into a comprehensive wholesale market, both radiating ASEAN agricultural products to the whole country through Chongqing and promoting the export of domestic high-quality products to ASEAN, achieving two-way circulation.
