Milan – Circle Group announces having signed a contract for a total value of 945,000 Euros for the realization of a project to digitalize the transport system and develop the eFTI platform. The project is part of the broader European project eFTI4LIVE, co-financed by the European Union through the Connecting Europe Facility program. The initiative, with a total value of 47 million euros, represents a fundamental piece for the implementation of Regulation (EU) /1056 on Electronic Freight Transport Information (eFTI), which will make the use of digital data in freight transport mandatory by 2027 in all Member States. The project aims to accelerate the development and adoption of interoperable eFTI platforms and eFTI gates, also fostering cross-border connectivity and the harmonization of data standards. Circle Group participates with two operational entities of its ecosystem: NextFreight will be responsible for the development and piloting of the eFTI platform, with funding of 620,000 euros, while Magellan Circle Italia will lead the communication and dissemination activities, enhancing the involvement of European stakeholders and continuing the work successfully carried out in previous projects, with a contribution of 325,000 euros. “With eFTI4LIVE, Circle Group further consolidates its position as a reference player in the digitalization of freight transport in Europe. The initiative strengthens our presence in European strategic projects and confirms the Group’s ability to combine technological innovation and a sustainable vision,” explained Alexio Picco, Managing director of Circle Group.
