The port of Civitavecchia consolidates its relations with Tunisia. This morning, the President of the Port System Authority of the Northern Central Tyrrhenian Sea, Raffaele Latrofa, received the Tunisian Consul Marwen Kablouti at the Molo Vespucci headquarters for an institutional visit dedicated to developing relations between the two ports.

At the center of the discussion was the strengthening of cooperation between the Lazio port and that of Tunis, already connected by two direct maritime lines active in both passenger transport and ro-ro freight traffic. A connection considered strategic for fostering commercial exchange and mobility between the two shores of the Mediterranean.

During the meeting, the common will was reaffirmed to further enhance the role of Civitavecchia as a reference hub for the Motorways of the Sea in the central Mediterranean, focusing on new growth opportunities for maritime and logistics traffic.

The visit concluded with an exchange of institutional gifts, a symbol of collaboration between the two port entities, and with a mutual commitment to continue dialogue in the coming months. Among the hypotheses on the table is also the possible definition of a memorandum of understanding aimed at further strengthening relations between the ports of Civitavecchia and Tunis.
