CMA CGM announced a modification to the REX2 service, which will now offer expanded direct coverage between China and the Red Sea region.
Starting in October 2025, beginning with the voyage of the container ship CMA CGM Tosca, the service will include a new direct call in Qingdao, China, and in Aqaba, Jordan, along with a double call to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
In this way, the service rotation will be Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Nansha – Singapore – Djibouti – Jeddah – Sokhna – Aqaba – Jeddah – Qingdao.
“With this strategic enhancement, the REX2 service will offer weekly departures and faster transit times, providing comprehensive coverage from China to the Red Sea and reinforcing CMA CGM’s position as the best choice for your shipments between Asia and the Red Sea,” the French carrier stated.
