CMA CGM is reporting an update to its Sirius service, which connects the Mediterranean with the east coast of South America.

As part of the ongoing effort to improve the service offering, the shipping line notes, a new call has been introduced at the Port of Itajaí, in Brazil, while the call at the Port of Itaguaí will be removed from the rotation.

The last vessel to call at Itaguaí will be the MV Lisa Marie, on the voyage from Tangier Med, from May 23 to June 13, while the first to call at Itajaí will be the MV Santa Ines, departing from that same terminal in Morocco on May 29 and arriving at the Brazilian port on June 16.

The new rotation is Tangier Med (NB); Algeciras; Tangier Med (SB); Salvador; Santos (SB); Itapoa; Itajai; Paranagua; Santos (NB); Tangier Med and Algeciras.

CMA CGM notes that it should be taken into account that this change will result in an adjustment to the planned overall schedule, which will mainly affect the northbound calls at Paranaguá and Santos. In the first case, the current berthing window of Wednesday changes to Thursday, and in the second, from Friday to Saturday. The arrival at the Port of Tangier Med will remain unchanged.
