CMA CGM will launch service to connect Tunisia with Morocco and Spain

CMA CGM announced the launch of a new service that will connect Sfax, Tunisia, with Morocco and Spain, as part of the start of the date export season, fruits obtained from the Phoenix palm species.

The new route is part of the French shipping company’s Short Sea Lines Division and will offer connections to all other global dry and refrigerated cargo shipping destinations, through its hubs in Tanger Med and Valencia CSP.

The first call in Sfax is scheduled for next Wednesday, October 29, 2025, offering a weekly frequency with a rotation in the ports of Sfax – Tangier – Valencia – Sfax. Furthermore, the company detailed that the connection to Casablanca will be made from Tangier, via the Morocco Shuttle (Mosht) service.

The transit time for the complete circuit will be 14 days, while the route will feature the deployment of two container ships with a nominal capacity of 800 TEU.
