On November 22, another production success was reported from China Merchants Industry’s Qingdao Shipyard – the first 1000TEU container ship built for Germany’s AAC company was smoothly moved out of the No. 1 dock and berthed at the wharf, successfully completing the undocking milestone and officially entering the wharf outfitting stage.

Before undocking, the project team efficiently coordinated with various departments, scientifically adjusted the cross-operation plan based on the production progress of each system, and focused on advancing 13 key inspection items, including the generator engine start, air system, cooling water system, and boiler system, fully meeting the technical conditions for undocking. Simultaneously, construction in the cargo hold area was accelerated, successfully completing the installation of a total of 104 guide rails, 110 container foot bases, and 975 container foot pads across six cargo holds, laying a solid foundation for the smooth undocking of the ship.

In the next step, the project team will work closely with the shipowner and ship surveyor to fully carry out the攻坚 work for wharf outfitting and mooring trials, ensuring the high-quality delivery of the ship and further strengthening the company’s core competitiveness in the mainstream commercial shipbuilding sector.
