Ex “Stena Vision, it was purchased by the Swedish company Stena Line. With a tonnage of 40 thousand tons, it will have a capacity of 2 thousand passengers and 600 vehicles

A new unit joins the Corsica Sardinia Ferries fleet. This is the Stena Vision, purchased from the Swedish company Stena Line, which will be renamed Mega Serena.

The unit has a gross tonnage of approximately 39,200 tons and a capacity of up to 2000 passengers, after the adaptation work, and over 600 vehicles (or 2000 linear meters for rolling cargo).

The ship is already equipped for shore-to-ship power connection during port stops. This system reduces polluting emissions, noise, and vibrations, improving air quality and the port’s acoustic impact, contributing to the decarbonization of the maritime sector and the transition towards more “green” ports.

Mega Serena will be employed on the main Mediterranean routes already served by Corsica. “The entry of the Mega Serena represents a further and fundamental step for our growth and confirms the constant commitment to an efficient, safe, and environmentally conscious service – comments Sébastien Romani, CEO of Corsica Sardinia Ferries – “This new unit will allow us to improve the offer for our customers and to face market challenges with even more strength.”
