Costa Rica: Incop will attend the hearing requested by the Comptroller’s Office regarding appeals for the modernization of Puerto Caldera

El Instituto Costarricense de Puertos del Pacífico (Incop) reported that it will attend to the request for a hearing made by the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR), within the framework of the process related to the Puerto Caldera Modernization Tender.

The action was determined after the CGR admitted for study the two appeals filed by Ictsi against the international tender for Puerto Caldera and requested Incop to provide the corresponding response within the established process.

“At Incop we continue working firmly and responsibly on the Puerto Caldera modernization process, addressing each stage in accordance with legality and due process,” detailed Wagner Alberto Quesada Céspedes, executive president of Incop.

According to the entity, the project advances with the technical support of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank, support that has allowed strengthening the technical and strategic aspects of the port modernization process.

Likewise, the institute reaffirmed its commitment to absolute respect for due process and the continuity of actions aimed at modernizing Puerto Caldera, an initiative that, from its perspective, is key to strengthening competitiveness, logistical development, and the economic growth of Costa Rica.
