On August 17, the first ship in the series of 8,500 DWT general cargo vessels built by CSSC Guangxi Company for MANISA successfully completed all sea trial tasks, laying a solid foundation for subsequent formal delivery.

From design drawings to steel plate cutting, component assembly to system debugging, the entire construction process of this vessel embodies the dedication of CSSC Guangxi’s shipbuilders. During this period, the technical team worked day and night to overcome multiple core technical bottlenecks. Project team members were deeply involved in the production site, strengthening quality control and vividly demonstrating the craftsmanship spirit of frontline workers. Quality inspectors enhanced process tracking, prepared pre-construction quality control plans, meticulously conducted “health checks” during the construction process, and ensured optimal performance of the vessel’s equipment with strong support from the shipowner, supervisors, and classification society.

Focusing on the sea trial objectives, the project team organized thorough discussions and communication with the shipowner and classification society before the trials regarding the trial plan, technical standards, and resource requirements, reaching a consensus. During the trials, the team optimized the testing procedures, worked tirelessly overnight, and efficiently arranged various test tasks, successfully completing performance tests on key equipment such as the main engine, steering gear, generator, and anchor winch. Verification confirmed that the equipment met design specifications, and the vessel returned to the company’s dock before the impact of a tropical depression’s strong winds. Moving forward, the project team will accelerate completion of remaining tasks, aiming for delivery to ensure the annual ship delivery target is met on schedule.
