On May 10, the rooftop distributed photovoltaic project of CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding (Zone 2) factory building achieved full-capacity grid connection and power generation. This project is the largest single distributed photovoltaic power station built by CSSC, marking a breakthrough for Beihai Shipbuilding in green and low-carbon transformation and large-scale application of clean energy, injecting momentum into the implementation of the “dual carbon” strategy and the realization of high-quality development.

In recent years, Beihai Shipbuilding has deeply implemented the national “dual carbon” strategy, integrating green and low-carbon development into the overall enterprise development. Based on the requirements of energy structure transformation and industrial green upgrading, it has integrated idle factory rooftop resources in the plant area, and collaborated with CSSC 714 Research Institute and Shuifa Group to carry out technical cooperation and industrial synergy, completing the full-process project advancement with high standards.

The project team closely adhered to the goals of safety standards, efficient construction, and green benefits, coordinating the completion of key links such as design, equipment selection, construction, commissioning, and grid connection, ensuring high-quality project operation. According to calculations, the project’s average annual power generation reaches 12.82 million kWh, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 10,567 tons per year, achieving self-generation and self-consumption of clean energy in the plant area, balancing ecological, economic, and social benefits.

This project’s grid connection is an important practice for Beihai Shipbuilding in promoting low-carbon plant area construction, and also a landmark achievement in deepening central-local cooperation and promoting the integration of industry, academia, research, and application. In the future, the company will continue to accelerate the photovoltaic project construction in Shipbuilding Zone 1, continuously expand clean energy application scenarios, improve the energy-saving and carbon-reduction system, empower transformation and upgrading with green momentum, and continuously contribute to the realization of the “dual carbon” goal and the green development of the shipbuilding industry.
