In the morning hours of this Thursday, October 9, Terminal Cuenca del Plata, which had been paralyzed since October 2, will resume its operations, returning normality to the Port of Montevideo.

“We inform you that tomorrow (today), Thursday, October 9, the terminal will begin operating from 7:00 AM,” indicated the concessionaire of the specialized container terminal of the Port of Montevideo in a statement.

“Regarding truck service, it is relevant to highlight that, in order to ensure adequate coordination and make the necessary adjustments in the computer system to avoid delays and congestion, truck service at TCP will begin from 9:00 AM,” it added.

The operator indicated that the real-time status of access A for trucks can be monitored via the webcam set up in the area, while its customer service department will be active from 6:30 AM local Uruguay time.

It should be recalled that the paralysis occurred after unionized workers opposed the implementation of the TOS Navis N4.

The company, which accused the Union of violating its collective agreement, did not provide details on how the resumption of operations was achieved.
