On November 10, 2025, the steel cutting ceremony for the /6th 80,000-ton multi-purpose grain carrier (Hull No. N1262), built by Dalian COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry for COSCO SHIPPING Development, was officially held. Relevant personnel from the shipowner, ship surveyor, and shipyard, along with the supervision team and project team members, jointly witnessed this important moment.
This ship type, with “Cargo Adaptability Innovation” as its core, adopts an open-box type cargo hold design, enabling efficient transportation of grain, wind power equipment, high-speed rail trains, and large mechanical equipment. The vessel excels in environmental protection and intelligence: it utilizes a high-pressure SCR system, desulfurization unit, and shore power interface, with energy efficiency indicators leading international benchmarks; relying on a digital twin platform, it enables real-time data monitoring and energy efficiency optimization.
