Recently, Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry successfully completed key engineering milestones for the 80,000 DWT series multi-purpose grain carriers built for COSCO Shipping Development: Vessel N1261 was smoothly launched, and Vessel N1263 was placed on the slipway. Representatives from the shipowner, classification society, and members of the shipyard project team jointly witnessed this series of important milestones.
On May 8, the 80,000 DWT multi-purpose grain carrier N1261, built by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry for COSCO Shipping Development, was launched.
On May 9, the 80,000 DWT multi-purpose grain carrier N1263, built by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry for COSCO Shipping Development, was placed on the slipway.
This series of vessels focuses on grain transport and multi-cargo loading requirements, with comprehensive upgrades in systems such as intelligence, stowage, ventilation, energy efficiency, and security. It adopts low-resistance hull lines and high-efficiency propellers, with energy efficiency surpassing the highest international standards; it is equipped with SCR, scrubber tower, shaft generator, and shore power system, meeting stringent emission requirements and achieving near-zero pollution during port calls. It boasts advantages such as strong specialization, wide cargo adaptability, good economy, and green environmental protection, representing a new generation of large multi-purpose vessels independently developed by China.
