Recently, Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry’s shipbuilding system has achieved a series of successes, consecutively reaching three major construction milestones, with steady progress in production and building.
On July 11, the N1186 project, an 85,000-ton new multi-purpose vessel constructed by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, completed its launching milestone. During the slipway construction phase, the project team meticulously planned in advance, achieving the slipway integrity goals with high quality and standards, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of subsequent underwater engineering.
On July 12, the steel-cutting ceremony was held for the N1257 project, the first 80,000-ton multi-purpose grain carrier built by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry. Representatives from the shipowner, classification society, shipyard, as well as the supervision team and project team members, jointly witnessed this significant moment.
The series of vessels has an overall length of 229.95 meters, a beam of 32.26 meters, a depth of 21.00 meters, a design draft of 10 meters, and a service speed of 15.5 knots, classified by the China Classification Society.
On July 14, the N1136 project, a 77,000-ton multi-purpose pulp carrier constructed by Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, successfully completed its keel-laying operation.
