DECATHLON and CMA CGM will enter a new co-naming partnership for the professional cycling team currently known as DECATHLON AG2R LA MONDIALE. Beginning January 1, 2026, the team will race as DECATHLON CMA CGM under an initial five-year agreement.
The alliance brings together two major French, family-owned companies with deep roots in their respective regions. The partnership follows the recent announcement that DECATHLON will become the team’s owner at the end of the 2025 season.
The collaboration is rooted in a shared culture of commitment and collective action. It is also a reflection of both companies’ long-standing support for sport. CMA CGM, a global logistics player, has previously sponsored Olympique de Marseille, the International Cycling Tour of Guadeloupe, and was an official partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
According to Javier López, CEO of DECATHLON, the partnership is a commitment to elevating the team and developing future champions. The ambition extends beyond immediate results, focusing instead on building a long-term project driven by sporting integrity and talent development.
The team’s strategic plan is centered on its Development Team and Junior Team, which include 12 and 14 riders, respectively. This approach aims to cultivate talent from within and build a sustainable pathway for future success in the UCI World Tour.
