During the midday hours yesterday, the Karlovasi Port Station was informed that a 63-year-old Greek crew member (specialty of Purser) of the passenger – vehicle ferry (/G) “BLUE STAR PAROS” N.P. 10990 required immediate hospital care.
The ship deviated from its course and docked at the port of Karlovasi where the patient was disembarked. Subsequently, the patient was transported by an EKAB ambulance vehicle to the General Hospital of Samos, while the ship sailed to continue its scheduled route.
