Bulk carrier YULIA suffered mechanical failure on May 5 south of Thasos island, northern Aegean sea, while ballasting from Diliskelesi Marmara sea to Nea Karvali, Greece. The ship according to CG, was taken on tow and towed to Nea Karvali (Kavala) anchorage. She was anchored there early in the morning May 6, and as of 1540 UTC May 6 remained anchored.
