New digital initiative to make cross-border payments faster and more transparent
Dubai – The port group Dp World has signed a memorandum of understanding with PayPal to develop a digital payments platform aimed at simplifying and speeding up cross-border trade.
The project is part of Dp World’s Digital Payments Initiative and aims to offer global payment options that are more reliable, faster, and transparent than traditional systems, while maintaining high security standards.
According to the CEO of Dp World, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, the initiative will help businesses of every size to grow and be more competitive. The CEO of PayPal, Alex Chriss, emphasized that the collaboration establishes a “new standard” for international transactions, which have been slowed down for too long by obsolete systems.
