Dramatic moments were experienced by Indian fishermen when they saw a 185-meter-long container ship colliding with their fishing boat.

More specifically, the collision occurred on October 1 between the cargo ship MSC Silver II and the fishing vessel Prathyasha in the Arabian Sea off the coast of Fort Kochi, India. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The passing fishing vessels alerted the cargo ship that there was a fishing boat in its path and that it should be careful. The authorities have launched an investigation into the incident. The latest reports indicate that the main shipping channel is approximately 20 kilometers from the point of the collision. The reason why the cargo ship was sailing in this area has not been made known.

The MSC Silver II, built in 2002, is a ship sailing under the flag of Liberia. It has a length of 185.5 meters, a width of 29 meters, and a gross tonnage of 27,828 tons.
