President Sisi has stressed the necessity of completing all projects of the transport and industry ministries according to a specified timeline, and continuing efforts to accelerate the establishment of comprehensive developmental logistic hubs that connect production areas with seaports, which are currently being developed to become hub ports meeting international standards with high capacities. This includes their integration with modern transport networks, roads, and railways, thereby providing the necessary elements to help transform Egypt into an international trade and logistics center.
During his meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly and Lieutenant General Kamel ElWazir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Industry, President Sisi also discussed developments in seaport development projects, as they play a central role in the state’s developmental programs. In this regard, they reviewed the implementation status of projects to establish, develop, and enhance the efficiency of the following ports: Ras Sedr Seaport, Gargoub, Abu Qir Seaport, New Max Port, and Grand Alex Port, as well as the completion and development of Sokhna Port and the establishment of Taba Seaport and Damietta Port development projects.
