Aberdeen-headquartered integrated solutions specialist EnerMech has completed a cleaning and preparation scope on an offshore pipeline on behalf of Esso Australia Resources, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ExxonMobil Australia.
EnerMech performed the scope on the Bass Strait pipeline system in the Gippsland Basin, offshore south-east Australia, as part of an offshore asset campaign led by UGL on behalf of Esso.
The work was carried out across assets linking the Marlin A (MLA), West Kingfish (WKF), Kingfish A (KFA) and Kingfish B (KFB) platforms.
Following the completion of this initial campaign, EnerMech has been named the preferred contractor for a subsequent offshore scope, which, as the company says, involves higher operating demands and increased equipment requirements.
“This project demonstrates our ability to execute complex offshore scopes under tight timelines while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational performance,” said Charles ‘Chuck’ Davison Jr., EnerMech CEO. “Delivering safely and to schedule reflects the strength of our teams and the value of close collaboration with our clients and project partners.”
