Everllence collaborates with China Electric Equipment Group to supply dual-fuel engines for the Mauritania power station.

Everllence Asia Pacific Power Plant Business Head Martin Chmiela and China Electric Engineering Fifth Division Deputy General Manager Sun Mian jointly attended the contract signing ceremony held in Beijing.

Recently, Everllence won a contract from China Electric Engineering to supply four high-performance /60DF dual-fuel engines for a new power plant in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania. The total installed capacity of this project reaches 74 megawatts. Upon completion, it will effectively alleviate the current power shortage in Mauritania and provide critical support for the stability of the local power grid.

Each engine has a generating capacity of 18.5 megawatts. Thanks to meticulous planning in the early stages of the project and close collaboration with the EPC contractor and the end-user, the project has achieved an extremely short delivery cycle. Given the urgent energy pressure faced by Mauritania, this efficient progress is particularly important. The power plant is scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2026.

The power plant will be operated in the future by SOMELEC, Mauritania’s national utility company. To meet the country’s growing electricity demand, SOMELEC has formulated plans to gradually advance the construction of more power generation facilities.
