Belgian shipping group Exmar has taken delivery of Moriond, the third dual-fuel LPG midsize gas carrier in its ongoing newbuild programme, according to a post by the company on 24 June.
The vessel, which has a capacity of 41,000 cbm, was delivered to Exmar France, the group’s French subsidiary. Exmar Ship Management coordinated the crew handover for the newbuild.
Earlier this quarter, Exmar named its two dual-fuel mid-size gas carriers Antwerpen and Arlon, described as the world’s first oceangoing vessels equipped with a dual-fuel ammonia engine. They form part of a planned series of four ammonia dual-fuel midsize gas carriers.
Exmar is a Belgium-based shipping and offshore company with operations spanning LPG and LNG transportation, as well as floating infrastructure solutions.
