During the early morning hours yesterday, the Port Authority of Salamina was informed of a fire outbreak on a tugboat (R/K) vessel flying the Greek flag, which was hauled up in a private shipyard in Salamina.
Officers of the Hellenic Coast Guard and four vehicles of the Fire Service proceeded to the scene, with the assistance of which the fire was extinguished. There were no injuries from the incident and no marine pollution was observed. A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the 3rd Port Division of Salamina of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus.
