On the next 8th of October at the Barcelona Nautical Faculty, the 1st Assembly of Spanish merchant marine collectives will be held, organized by ASPROMAR (Professional Association of Mariners of the Spanish Maritime Administration) and the Catalan Association of Merchant Marine Captains (ACCMM) with ambitious objectives that affect the professional future of Spanish mariners.
As is known, the shortage of professionals in the world merchant marine is a fact that greatly concerns the main players in the maritime business, and Spain is not exempt from this situation. Mariners to crew the ships, mariners with adequate salaries, and welfare on board; mariners in the Maritime Administration… mariners, in short, with a future that, in the opinion of the organizers, needs to be clarified. And with this purpose, they will meet next Wednesday in Barcelona to address this issue, which will be the main topic on the table of this First Assembly.
