Xca (joint venture between the Arcese and Conti Groups) has completed the purchase of the business unit of Autotrade & Logistics, specialized in integrated logistics services for the automotive sector.
The acquisition guarantees Xca direct control over Il Faldo, an infrastructure located in Collesalvetti (Livorno) which has no equal in Europe for its size and storage capacity. The compound, equipped with areas for vehicle handling and preparation, becomes the fundamental asset for the joint venture’s growth strategy. The operation aims to connect this strategic hub with the activities that Xca already carries out in the port of Vado Ligure, building a complementary logistics axis capable of streamlining the final distribution of vehicles.
The first results of the industrial project were recently confirmed: in November, Xca successfully managed the landing and ground logistics for over 1,100 Dongfeng cars (one of the Chinese “Big Four” automakers).
The deal was finalized with the support of a wide pool of advisors. For the seller (Autotrade & Logistics), financial advisory was handled by Pirola Corporate Finance, while the legal side was entrusted to Legance. The buyer (Xca) was assisted by Vitale & Co for financial aspects and by Gianni & Origoni for legal ones. The financial due diligence bears the signature of PwC. Finally, the Chiomenti firm looked after the interests of Illimity Bank in relation to the financing.
