The vessel has a transport capacity of 1,250 passengers and 1,500 linear meters of rolling cargo, with a service speed of 23 knots.

Barcelona – The complex transfer operation of the Ro-Pax ferry Fortuny has concluded, which saw the ship briefly pass under the ownership of the Italian company Liberty Lines to be immediately transferred to Fred. Olsen Express, with a simultaneous name change to Buenavista Express. The ship had previously been sold by Armas Trasmediterránea to Liberty Lines in July.
The three-player maneuver in the Mediterranean and Atlantic shipping market is aimed at strengthening the Spanish Atlantic routes. The unit, built in 2001 at the Astilleros Españoles shipyard in Puerto Real, Spain, boasts significant technical characteristics that will allow its use on long-range routes: the ferry has a transport capacity of 1,250 passengers and 1,500 linear meters of rolling cargo, with a service speed of 23 knots.
According to Fred. Olsen Express, the Buenavista Express will now undergo a technical docking phase that will include a wide range of maintenance work and a livery change to adopt the colors of the new fleet.
The company announced that the ferry will presumably be employed on the route connecting the Spanish peninsula, specifically Huelva, with the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, starting from January 2026.
