On November 25, reporters learned from the Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park thematic对接 activity of the 2025 China Industrial Transfer Development对接 Activity (Chongqing) that from January to October this year, the Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park has accumulated nearly 46 billion yuan in new investment.

The Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park is an important carrier for Chongqing to implement its positioning as a comprehensive inland open hub. The industrial park adheres to the development philosophy of using channels to drive logistics, logistics to drive trade and economy, and trade and economy to drive industry. It aims to explore and build itself into a national important industrial backup承接 force, a national highland for integrated innovation of major technical equipment, and the main Chongqing hub of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.

Since the beginning of this year, the Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park has shown a rapid development momentum. So far, the park has signed, started construction on, or put into operation more than 260 industrial projects, with a total investment exceeding 210 billion yuan. These include: 100 advanced complete equipment projects, with a total investment of over 85 billion yuan; 42 advanced materials projects, with a total investment of over 51 billion yuan; 42 modern logistics and supply chain service projects, with a total investment of 11.2 billion yuan; 33 intelligent connected new energy vehicles and core components projects, with a total investment of over 28 billion yuan; 10 high-end motorcycle projects, with a total investment of over 7.7 billion yuan; 19 modern producer services projects, with a total investment of over 23 billion yuan; and 19 other projects, with a total investment of over 4.7 billion yuan.

Meanwhile, from January to October this year, the industrial park added 78 new industrial projects; the container shipment volume of the park’s four-directional channels—the Yangtze River Golden Waterway, China-Europe Railway Express, New Western Land-Sea Corridor, and Yu-Man-Europe Railway—reached 760,000 tons.

“Currently, the industrial park has gathered more than 1,000 enterprises, initially forming three major industrial clusters dominated by advanced equipment, advanced materials, and modern logistics and supply chain services,” said Chen Jianjun, Second-Level Inspector of the Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology. He introduced that the park is currently developing according to a “three-step” plan: achieving an industrial scale of over 700 billion yuan by 2027, breaking 1 trillion yuan by 2030, and reaching 1.4 trillion yuan by 2035.

He also stated that the Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park is an important pathway for the orderly transfer of national industries and the optimization of the spatial layout of productive forces. He expressed the hope that more enterprises would come to the park for inspection, investment, and business development.

Yuan Xintao, First-Level Inspector of the Second Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that Chongqing has obvious hub advantages and outstanding performance in developing ships, aviation, construction machinery, and agricultural machinery. The Chongqing Hub Port Industrial Park is not only a hub but also an important platform for the agglomeration, innovation, collaboration, opening up, and leadership of the equipment industry. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will support Chongqing in utilizing its resource and environmental carrying capacity, leveraging its comparative advantages, promoting the rational utilization and full aggregation of various factors, and building a competitive industrial park.

“It is hoped that through this event, Chongqing and numerous enterprises can strengthen technical exchanges, deepen practical cooperation, jointly promote the landing of对接 projects, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and create a better future together,” Yuan Xintao said.
