The Costa Cruises World Tour returns, the cruise most loved by travel enthusiasts. Departing today from Trieste aboard the Costa Deliziosa, with the possibility of boarding also in the subsequent stops of Bari, Naples and Savona, the 2026 edition will conclude on April 11, 2026, in Trieste. A great classic, iconic and dreamt of, ever since Costa first introduced it in the ‘70s. The 2026 edition confirms the timeless charm of this unique cruise, which continues to represent one of the most coveted experiences for every traveler. Aboard the Costa Deliziosa there are over 2,000 booked guests, predominantly from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Austria.

It involves over 4 and a half months of navigation to discover 51 different destinations in 33 countries, crossing 5 continents and 3 oceans in the footsteps of the great explorers of the past. An itinerary that is not just a journey, but a complete immersion, designed for those who dream of experiencing the world in all its nuances.

In 142 days, the Costa Deliziosa will complete a circumnavigation of the globe, always sailing west. From Italy, it will cross the Mediterranean and the Atlantic to the Caribbean, visiting France, Spain, Morocco and the Canary Islands, before experiencing the tropical charm of Barbados. After a fascinating passage through the Panama Canal, the ship will enter the heart of Latin America to discover Peru and Chile all the way to Easter Island, with its famous “Moai”, stone statues of human appearance that guard the mystery of a lost civilization. The itinerary continues into the immensity of the Pacific Ocean, between the Pitcairn Islands and the magic of French Polynesia, with its paradises of turquoise waters and exotic scents, then touching the most remote islands of Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia, until reaching boundless Australia, with its vibrant metropolises and wild landscapes. From here the route continues north, touching Papua New Guinea and the oriental charm of Japan, between futuristic Tokyo – a new destination for this cruise – Kobe and Nagasaki, all the way to South Korea. Resuming the navigation west, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the coasts of Vietnam will be reached, then immersing in the cosmopolitan atmospheres of Singapore and Malaysia. Taiwan, Hong Kong and the coasts of Vietnam, to immerse in the cosmopolitan atmospheres of Singapore and Malaysia.

Finally, the Indian Ocean with Sri Lanka, Maldives and Mauritius anticipates Southern Africa. And then, from South Africa, to the red deserts of Namibia, to the Creole notes of Cape Verde before approaching Europe again, with Italy as the final destination of this wonderful dream journey.

The company has already announced a rich program of Land Experiences: over 200 authentic and unforgettable onshore experiences, from trekking among the geoglyphs of the Atacama Desert to diving in the crystalline waters of Barbados, from African safaris in Chobe Park to tea ceremonies in kimono in Kyoto, to the tribal dances of Mystery Island. Only with Costa, guests can experience a true journey within a journey with the exclusive overlands, extraordinary tours that gift time and intensity to discover iconic places like Machu Picchu, Angkor Wat and Victoria Falls, immersing in the local culture and direct contact with nature.

But the World Tour also continues aboard the Costa Deliziosa.

Guests will be able to experience the magic of the holidays by celebrating Christmas and New Year’s on a festively dressed ship, with dedicated shows and musical parties. Costa Deliziosa will offer guests the comfort and style that distinguish the company: an international gastronomic offering conceived exclusively for the world cruise and, each week, a signature dish created by Costa’s partner star chefs: Bruno Barbieri, Hélène Darroze and Ángel León; entertainment inspired by the cultures of the visited countries, theme conferences on the destinations experienced, and spaces designed for well-being, between the SPA Solemio and the relaxation areas.

For those not departing on this cruise, but who wish to experience this unique and exciting adventure, the company is proposing two other World Tours departing at the end of 2026: in October, Costa Serena will set sail from Tokyo to Buenos Aires for a 66-day World Tour through Asia, Oceania and South America, while in November, Costa Deliziosa will return as the protagonist with an exclusive 139-day itinerary through fascinating destinations in North America, Hawaii and the private island of Half Moon Cay.
