The State Council Information Office held a press conference on import and export performance in the first three quarters of 2025. Wang Jun, Vice Minister of the General Administration of Customs, stated at the conference that as new drivers and strengths in China’s manufacturing sector are rapidly being cultivated, new technologies and products are emerging in succession. In the first three quarters, China exported 3.75 trillion yuan worth of high-tech products, an increase of 11.9%, contributing to over 30% of the overall export growth during the same period. Among these, exports of ships and marine engineering equipment grew by 25.5%.
Wang Jun noted that technological innovation drives brand building. In recent years, the proportion of self-owned brands in China’s exports, such as electric vehicles and agricultural machinery, has been increasing year by year. In the first three quarters of this year, these figures reached 59.5% and 40.2% respectively, showing a significant increase compared to the same period last year.
