Genting Dream sails from Singapore to kickstart Resorts World Cruises first season

Resorts World Cruises celebrated a double milestone this week with its maiden voyage as a new cruise line; and Genting Dream’s inaugural cruise from homeport Singapore, welcoming guests on board for the first time for a cruise to nowhere.

‘Today is a noteworthy historical milestone for Resorts World Cruises and the city of Singapore, as we celebrate our first sailing, officially launching the brand to the world,’ Tan Sri KT Lim, Executive Chairman of Resorts World Cruises, commented on Wednesday.

Michael Goh, President of Resorts World Cruises expressed his gratitude towards Singapore Tourism Board and the relevant authorities, travel partners and customers for, ‘their continuous support in making today’s sailing and launch a success.’

As of July 1, 2022, Resorts World Cruises will sail from Singapore to Indonesia, offering a 2-night weekend cruise to Bintan and Batam Islands.

Subsequently, Genting Dream will also sail from Singapore to Malaysia with 2-night and 3-night cruises to Kuala Lumpur and Malacca (via Port Dickson), as well as Penang.

Royal Caribbean resumes late June

Royal Caribbean International resumes destination cruising from Singapore on June 30, with Spectrum of the Seas starting three- and four- ight itineraroes to Malaysia’s Penang and Kuala Lumpur.

Beginning October 2022, Resorts World Cruises will add a series of new itineraries with more calls to Malaysia (Langkawi), Indonesia (North Bali, Surabaya) and Thailand (Phuket, Krabi).
