Global Fuel Supply has opened a new office in Cape Town, marking an expansion of its operations in Africa alongside affiliate Blue Energy Partners.
The bunkering company announced the move during Maritime Week Africa, held in Cape Town.
As part of the expansion, Global Fuel Supply has appointed Jacqui Taylor as senior fuel supplier for South Africa. Taylor brings more than 25 years of experience across African marine energy operations, offshore logistics and vessel operations.
Global Fuel Supply said the Cape Town office is intended to support its activities in the region.
The company, which operates as a bunker trader and supplier, acquired its first bunker tanker towards the end of 2025. Global Fuel Supply said in December that the vessel would be renamed MV Blue Alliance and strengthen its ability to deliver bunkering services across West Africa, adding that the first vessel acquisition was part of its transition from chartering vessels to becoming a ship-owning operator.
Launched in 2025, Blue Energy Partners is an affiliate of Global Fuel Supply that is based in Oslo, Norway. The firm specializes in the trade and supply of marine fuels.
